Just in from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA):
All federally supported vaccination sites will close today at 3 p.m. due to severe weather.
This includes the Gateway Mall, Carver Recreational Center and Oceanway Community Center spokes, as well as the mobile unit at the Community Health Outreach Center.
A FEMA spokesperson told Action News Jax that “guest and staff safety is a priority and for that reason we are closing down all sites as of 3 p.m. today.”
All sites will reopen tomorrow morning at their normally scheduled times, but if severe weather continues into tomorrow that may change, FEMA said.
The state-run Regency Mall will NOT be impacted by the weather closures.
