Florida Blue in Jacksonville plans to hire 600 temporary workers for the upcoming health insurance open enrollment season.
The company is looking for telephone agents to provide health plan sales and support from August to mid-December.

Workers will be paid between $14 and $16 per hour depending on experience with opportunities for monthly bonuses based on performance and attendance, the company said.
Management is looking for people to work 8-hour shifts Monday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. during open enrollment from October to December.
Florida Blue said ideal candidates will have their 2-40 or 2-15 Florida state health insurance license.

The company said it will hire trainees, provide training and cover the expenses of obtaining a 2-40 license for candidates who demonstrate drive and aptitude to succeed in a sales role.
