Former assistant principal fired from DCPS after failing to disclose previous theft

“That’s very upsetting , it’s very hurtful, because he betrayed everyone at that school,” said Latasha Johnson, a parent at Fernandina Beach High School.

“You let a lot of people down Dr. Lodree, and I never thought you would do anything like this,” said Johnson.

The district says it did a background check on Lodree, but because the incident at his former job recently happened, it didn’t show up.

The district says it was Lodree’s responsibility to tell them about any pending investigation.
