JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — Four teens have been arrested for attacking a 22-year-old woman in a parking lot along Beach Boulevard following Halloween festivities.
Jacksonville Beach police said 16- and 17-year-old females and 16- and 17-year-old males are facing felony battery charges for the attack early Sunday morning, November 1.
The victim, Alexis Waters, was knocked out from behind. She was transported by rescue personnel to a local hospital, where she was treated and subsequently released for a broken nose and facial injuries.
The four people arrested, including Koehn Meazzo, 18, were charged with felony battery - causing great bodily harm. Meazzo, the only legal adult named by police, was also charged with robbery/sudden snatching - unarmed criminal mischief. The 16-year-old was charged with possession of a controlled substance or possession with intent to use paraphernalia.
All were booked into Duval County Juvenile Detention Center or Duval County Jail.
The attack occurred in a lot across from Bubba Gump after the victim left Mango’s around closing time. The incident occurred as clocks fell back early Sunday morning for Halloween weekend, giving patrons an extra hour at local establishments.

The victim reported that the last thing she remembered was leaving the establishment at closing time and walking toward her vehicle before being struck from behind.
She was left bleeding on the pavement with her left eye swollen shut and facial cuts. Her mother has since shared photos of her daughter’s injuries on social media to help identify the attacker.
Two good Samaritans in a nearby McDonald’s parking lot heard the woman scream and remained by her side until law enforcement arrived.
