ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The City of St. Augustine will open applications for its Residential Composting Program on Monday, Sept. 21.
The program will provide free backyard compost bins to eligible local residents until quantity limits are met.
Eligibility is limited to residents living in single-family homes within St. Augustine city limits. Participants are encouraged to place food and yard waste into the bins to produce nutrient-rich compost for personal garden use.
No collection service is provided as part of the initiative, requiring participating residents to manage their own composting process.
Application forms and complete details regarding program eligibility are accessible on the city website, here.
Residents with questions about the program can contact Danielle Cora, environmental compliance inspector, at 904-825-1055.
