ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — St. Johns County will offer a free beach shuttle from Sept. 5 through Sept. 7 to help reduce traffic congestion during Labor Day weekend.

The service will transport visitors between Cornerstone Park and Mickler’s Landing Beachfront Park.

Buses will run daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., picking up passengers at Cornerstone Park, located at 1046 A1A North and dropping them off at the Mickler’s parking lot.

Law enforcement and safety personnel will patrol local beaches throughout the holiday weekend. Teams from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Augustine Beach Police Department and St. Johns County Marine Rescue will be stationed along the shorelines.

Marine Rescue lifeguards will staff towers daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Water and surf conditions will be displayed using beach flags.

On-beach driving will be allowed between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., with vehicles required to stay within designated driving lanes. Because beach driving conditions can shift throughout the day at each access point, visitors are encouraged to check for updates.

The shuttle program aims to ease vehicle traffic during one of the county’s busiest beach holidays.
