FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. — A local community is getting ready to say goodbye to a teenager killed in a tragic car accident.
Dozens gathered at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fleming Island for a vigil and viewing for 14-year-old Gianna Asencio.

The teen died after she was hit by a car on her way to school last Thursday.
"She was like my sister. Her loss, I lost my sister," said Ashley, a friend of Gianna's.
The Florida Highway Patrol tells us there are no charges at this time for the driver that hit Gianna.
Funeral arrangements are set for Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
