JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Friends of Jordan Davis took the stand in day 2 of the retrial of Michael Dunn.

The three admitted the music in their SUV was loud, but their stories to the jury had big differences.

Tevin Thompson testified when Dunn asked them to turn down the music, he complied.  But Jordan demanded it be turned up, according to Thompson's testimony.

Tevin said Jordan used curse words in that request, but Leland Brunson testified Jordan did not.

The stories about how loud the music was also differed.

Leland said it was turned back up, but not as loud as before.  Tevin said it was turned up to the same level.

Dunn's attorney also noted differences in how Tevin rolled up Jordan's window during the argument.

Tevin said he leaned over to Tommy's door to roll up the window.  Leland said Tevin did it from his own door.

Tommy Stornes, the driver of the red Dodge Durango, said the only way to roll up the back window was from the driver's side door, meaning Tevin Thompson would've had to lean over from the passenger seat.

Action News Law and Safety expert Dale Carson said the differences in the testimony are critical.

"Those little mistakes mount up," said Carson.  "So the result is the defense offer it as a problem for the prosecutor in the case."

The Michael Dunn trial is scheduled to continue Saturday at 9 a.m.
