Family and friends are still mourning the death of 16-year-old Autumn Branham.

She died in a car crash last week on I-10.

Right after her death, Autumn Branham's mother Chauna Branham told Action News Jax how determined her daughter was, and how she loved doing hair and makeup.

“She left school early because school wasn’t for her. But she went to the college, got her education in three months and achieved her high school diploma. Two days later she enrolled in Aveda,” Chauna Branham said.

Autumn Branham's friends from Aveda institute sent Action News Jax pictures and said that Autumn Branham was sweet and the youngest of the group. She was like their little sister.

Autumn Branham's friend sent us a Facebook message about an event this weekend that will help her family.

They’re asking everyone to come to Aveda Institute on San Jose Dec. 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for haircuts, styles and make-up applications.

The money will go toward helping the Branham family with expenses.

The teen's family told Action News Jax that there will be a service for Autumn Branham on Wednesday.

Branham's family says her service will be held at the Hardage Giddens funeral home on San Jose Blvd.
