KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. -- Funeral services are set for a Keystone Heights High School student who pushed his friend out of the way of a pickup truck.
The truck ran into the two students as they walked along County Road 214 to a bus stop early Friday morning.
Shane Savoy, 18, managed to push 17-year-old Elin Cornett out of the way.
Savoy died from his injuries that evening.
The driver stopped after the crash and is not facing any charges, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
Savoy's funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at the Lake Hill Baptist Church in Keystone Heights. The service will begin at 3 p.m.
