Gas receipt, social media post during motorcycle chase used to arrest St. Augustine man

A St. Augustine man was taken into custody following a multi-county motorcycle chase in June, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.

Steven Pantojas, 42, was able to evade deputies on his motorcycle during the four-county chase, but investigators were able to track him down because of a social media post he made during the chase.

Pantojas also made a pitstop for gas in Eutis while he was being followed by a helicopter. His receipt for his fuel was also used to capture him, Volusia County Sheriff’s Office stated in a social media post.
