Girl attacked in Orange Park, student arrested

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Violence at a local school between two teen girls endsended with the arrest of a student.

With a smile on her face, the student seen as the aggressor appears proud of what she's done, following through with her threats to fight a 14-year-old girl who tried to walk away from it all.

"This girl has just continued to confront my daughter and bully her," said the victim's father.

The victim's father says it started in the classroom last month.

"They finally had to call the principal to remove the child out of the classroom," he said.

It ended with a fight outside of school buildings last Thursday, but still on campus.

Both girls were brought to the principal's office but the alleged aggressor left Lakeside Junior High in handcuffs.

We're learning that the video was deleted by administrators and that the students who recorded it were suspended.

A school official tells Action News, "The students who were filming are not being disciplined because they were filming… they’re being disciplined for other circumstances in and around the fight."

"To me, it seems like the school was actually trying to prevent people knowing that there's incidents happening at the school other than what they should be doing is trying to protect their children," said the victim's father.

The teen arrested was also suspended from school. There is no word if she will return to that school, or be transferred somewhere else.
