JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Florida Governor Rick Scott made a campaign swing through Jacksonville Monday afternoon.
The governor talked about jobs for the next generation at CoWork Jax on West Forsyth Street.
Scott also planned to call for the state to permanently eliminate the sales tax on manufacturing equipment as a way to boost business in Florida.
"As long as there's a return we can continue to invest. We've invested 640 million but it's taxpayer money and I'm going to make sure we're getting a return," Scott said.
Scott didn't elaborate on what exactly the return would need to be to ensure state money for dredging at Jaxport.
