JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The top three restaurants on the Restaurant Report had major temperature issues with food.

Action News Jax visited Suite Café Grill on Beach Boulevard. A health inspector found 29 violations including cooked meat not reaching the proper internal temperature when it comes to the gyro cooker, raw chicken kabobs weren’t properly separated from the raw beef kabobs and the inspector issued a stop sale for temperature violations on rice, hummus, tomatoes, potato salad and tzatziki sauce. An employee said she didn’t have much information.

“On a couple days I help my manager, I don’t know what happens after me, I don’t every day working you know," she said.

Suite Café Grill has had two more follow-up inspections to address the issues.

A health inspector issued a stop sale on macaroni, cooked noodles and cabbage at Big Easy Cajun on Arlington Boulevard. The inspector noted seeing rodent rub marks along walls and ceilings and noticed 25 flies even though the restaurant presented proof of recent pest control. The follow-up inspection noted that another inspection is needed.

Inspectors at Orange Buffet in Orange Park saw an employee touch raw sushi with bare hands, noted temperature violations for chicken, beef, egg rolls and cabbage, and saw no proof that salmon had proper parasite destruction. Inspectors noted a follow-up inspection was required.
