JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Duval County voters are heading to the polls today, Aug. 18, to cast ballots in the Primary Election and the Special First Unitary Election.
Polls opened at 7 a.m. and will remain open until 7 p.m., according to Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland.
Voters must cast their ballots at their assigned polling place. Florida is a closed primary state, meaning voters may only vote in the primary for the political party in which they are registered.
All registered voters may participate in nonpartisan races, including contests for judges and school board members.
The Special First Unitary Election for City Council At-Large Group One appears on all ballots across Duval County. Precinct information is listed on each voter information card and can also be found on sample ballots or online at duvalelections.gov.
A list of all polling locations can be found in the PDF below:
Voters must present a current and valid photo identification with a signature to vote. Acceptable forms of photo ID include a Florida driver license, U.S. passport, military ID or student ID. If the photo ID does not include a signature, voters will be asked to provide an additional ID that does.
Voters with questions about the Primary Election or the Special First Unitary Election can visit duvalelections.gov or call the Duval County Elections Office at 904-255-8683.
