Hurricane Harvey's local impact on flights in Jacksonville

Heavy rains from Hurricane Harvey are hovering over parts of Texas and hammering Houston, affecting flights in and out of Jacksonville.

Action News Jax is keeping an eye on the departures and arrivals out of Houston in the wake of this devastating storm.

As of early Monday, all nine originally scheduled flights in and out of Houston airports were cancelled.

Both major airports in Houston tweeted recently all flights are cancelled and all roads in and out of the airports are closed because of flooding.

Action News Jax will be at the Jacksonville International Airport throughout the morning keeping an eye on the flights and trying to connect with passengers who may be stranded at the airports.
