JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Forty crew members with JEA, Jacksonville’s city-owned utility, will deploy Saturday at 6 a.m. to Daphne, Ala., to provide mutual aid assistance in the aftermath of Hurricane Isaias.
The deployment consists of six electric line distribution crews dispatched to assist Riviera Utilities with power restoration efforts.

The workers will mobilize and depart directly from JEA’s two service centers on Saturday morning.
The mutual aid effort comes as Hurricane Isaias intensified into a major hurricane ahead of an expected Gulf Coast landfall on Friday night.
Forecasts for the storm include dangerous storm surge, rainfall flooding and high winds.
