Infant hurt, 17-year-old killed in multi-vehicle crash on I-95

Jacksonville, Fla. — A multi-vehicle crash on I-95 North Friday left an infant hurt and Jacksonville teenager dead.

At approximately 8:55 a.m., troopers with Florida Highway Patrol say a 17-year-old driver was traveling northbound on the I-95 entrance ramp from Airport Road when they struck a tractor trailer traveling in the righthand lane of the highway.

Troopers say the young driver’s vehicle then rotated, colliding with two additional vehicles and eventually overturned.

The teenage driver and 1-year-old passenger were transported to UF Health Downtown.

Troopers say no other injuries were reported.
