ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. — Police are searching for an inmate who escaped from a Gainesville work release center Saturday.
Alexis R. Torres-Jimenez escaped from Bridges of Santa Fe around 4:45 p.m.
Police are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the Florida Department of Corrections at (850) 922-6867 or a local law enforcement agency.
Torres-Jimenez is charged with possession and sale, manufacture or delivery of cocaine.
