JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — Action News obtained more than 200 pages of documents relating to the justified shooting ruling from the State Attorney’s Office in the death of Zachariah Tipton.
The documents paint a clear picture of what happened last June between Tipton and Kristopher Stone, the man who shot Tipton, outside Nippers last June.
According to the report, Stone is an army medic in the National Guard and a recruit in the Iron Order Motorcycle Club.
Tipton was part of the Black Pistons Motorcycle Club.

The State Attorney’s Office says Stone was with another member of the Iron Order in the parking lot near Nippers right before the shooting happened.
According to the report, two Black Pistons members walked toward Stone while Tipton walked up from behind.
Tipton punched Stone in the back of the head and started beating him on the ground.
According to the reports, the fight lasted about 10 seconds before Stone, who had a concealed weapons permit, grabbed his gun and shot Tipton, killing him.

Witness statements say after the shooting, Stone was “just sitting there.”
Another witness says Stone’s friends took the gun and began clearing it.
Stone and his friends stayed at the scene, but State Attorney Angela Corey says Tipton’s friends ran off.
“His friends pretty much left him to die,” Corey said.
Stone suffered cuts and bruises on his face, and a broken nose. He claimed to be in fear of his life, even urinating on himself. He had no cuts or bruises on his hands.
The state attorney says Stone was not the attacker and he was justified in the killing of Tipton.
The report states that after Tipton fell to the ground, a vest was taken from the scene, and there may have been something wrapped inside.
