A jack-knifed semi has shut down the northbound side of I-295 at St. Johns Bluff

An accident on I-295 northbound in Jacksonville at about 7 p.m. shut down the highway, the Florida Highway Patrol said on Sunday.

All lanes of the highway are closed at St John’s Bluff due to a motor vehicle accident with a jack-knifed semi, the agency said.

All northbound traffic is being diverted on to Atlantic Boulevard. As of 7:15 p.m., police could not provide an estimate on how long the highway would remain closed.
