“I’ve lost over 25% of my membership base. They’ve either frozen their membership or cancelled them all together – that’s hi the bottom line dramatically,” Farrell said. Thursday, she had crews sanitize the space so she’s ready to reopen.

According to Amanda Farrell, coronavirus shut down the workout boutique two months ago.

Donnie Sanderson with Turner Pest Control told Action News Jax, “It’s an all encompassing disinfecting service using an EPA-certified product for treating the coronavirus. It’s a misting, wipe down and, depending on the situation, also a backpack treatment throughout hard nonporous areas.”

According to Sanderson, the cleaning process would be a little different in a traditional gym.

“In an actual gym it would be more focused on the the equipment, so, you’re common touch points – things people don’t think of, the weights, the bars that are being commonly touched,” Sanderson said.

Farrell said after the cleaning, she’d be ready for her clients. “There will eventually be people back in the studio and we’ll have the community back and we’ll be able to teach – even if it’s only to 2 or 3 people at a time it’s better than teaching myself.”

Experts with Turner Pest Control recommended gyms sanitize once a through the end of the pandemic.
