The Jacksonville area is expected to experience some smoke from the West Mims wildfire, according to the Florida Forest Service.
The FFS expects the fire to continue burning on Fiddlers Island because of westerly winds Monday and said that the smoke could reach Jacksonville.

The fire, which now spans more than 46,000 acres of the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, the John Bethea State Forest and the Osceola National Forest increased in size over the weekend because of gusty winds.
Burn bans are in effect in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge and Baker County.
