Jacksonville Beach police are warning people to keep their belongings secure after more than 60 cellphones were stolen from beach bars in four months.
Police say they have received 62 reports of stolen cellphones since June 17.
Officers are warning people to pay careful attention to personal items while in public places.
They are asking people not to leave purses, cellphones, wallets or car keys unattended, even for a moment.
They are also recommending women keep their purses closed while carrying them, and asking people to avoid keeping phones in their back pockets.
