Jacksonville Fire Rescue battling house fire on the Westside

One person has been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries from the fire on Baxter Street

A fire in a house on Baxter St. on Jacksonville’s Westside sent at least one person to the hospital as crews continue to battle the blaze.

The fire was reported about 4 p.m. at a home near Oakleaf Plantation.

No other details were available, but Action News Jax will stay on the story.
