JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Humane Society’s Cutest Pet Contest is back for a seventh year, with submissions due August 27 and voting ending on August 31.
The contest, which raises funds for the humane society, bestows on one lucky dog or cat the title ‘Cutest Pet in Jacksonville.’
Submissions and voting opened on August 1. The final day to submit your dog or cat is August 27, with the final day to vote online August 31.

The winner will be featured on digital billboards, enjoy a one-hour professional pet photoshoot, and receive a prize pack featuring a custom pet portrait, a VIP stay at Pet Paradise, a BarkBox or KitNipBox, a year’s supply of free litter from World’s Best Cat Litter (if winner is a cat), and other prizes.
In addition to a winner, 11 runners-up will be featured on the humane society’s website throughout 2027 and receive a free day of dog day camp or dog or cat boarding at Pet Paradise along with assorted goodies from World’s Best Cat Litter.

A $10 donation is required to enter the contest. A $5 donation is required to vote on contestants ($1 counts as one vote, with a minimum of 5 votes).
“We are elated to bring back this celebration of pets and the people who love them,” said Lawrence Nicolas, JHS CEO. “It’s a meaningful way for members of our community to honor their beloved pets while also supporting pets in need.”
