A man who was arrested for shooting into the home of a local judge in 2013 was found guilty Thursday.
Aaron Richardson was convicted on 24 charges, including the attempted murder of a U.S. district judge.
Police say Richardson was on supervised probation back in 2013. But after several arrests, Richardson violated his probation and was due to appear back in court once again before Judge Timothy Corrigan.
Judge Corrigan had the power to put Richardson back behind bars. But before Richardson showed up in court, police say he stole a rifle from an Arlington Sports Authority and shot through Judge Corrigan’s home window the morning of June 23, 2013.
Attorneys are seeking the highest punishment possible.
“The jury found Mr. Richardson guilty of 24 counts in the indictment. He’ll be looking at life in prison,” said U.S. Attorney Mac Heavener.
Richardson was also convicted of possession of a stolen firearm and impersonating an officer.
