JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman was accidentally shot in Murray Hill on Monday afternoon, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
Police were called to the 3200 block of Rayford Street, which is just south of Interstate 10.
Investigators found that the woman’s husband was showing her a gun he recently purchased. Both the man and woman told police that the weapon accidently discharged, striking the woman in her lower body.
JSO Violent Crimes detectives responded to further investigate the incident.
