Family: 2-year-old girl reportedly abducted in Jacksonville has been found

The family of a 2-year-old girl who was reportedly abducted has been found, her family tells Action News Jax.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the reported abduction happened in the 4100 block of East Leonard Circle. Investigators said they found the alleged suspect, 22-year-old Rachel Rena Wynn, and family of the victim, 2-year-old Wynter Floyd, had been involved in a verbal dispute in reference to her loaning the victim’s father a car.

Police said Wynn entered the house and took Wynter without permission. Wynn was last heard saying she would return the child in exchange for the car. The vehicle was subsequently returned; and the suspect had yet to return the victim.

The vehicle, a 2007 black Chevy Impala, was taken from where it was returned to in the area of Lem Turner Avenue and Grand Street.

Family tells Action News Jax that Wynter was dropped off on the side of the road, a driver stopped when they saw her alone.

Wynter was taken to Wolfson Children's Hospital, where was examined by doctors to make sure she was OK. She was reunited with her mom at the hospital as well.
