JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrested a man and seized 11 firearms and a cache of illegal drugs after shutting down a drug operation in the Herlong area.
JSO said it received a tip that a suspect was selling drugs out of a house on Bramble Road off Wilson Boulevard.
The agency’s Narcotics Unit investigated and confirmed that Donald Rogers, 51, was using the house to distribute drugs
Investigators obtained a search warrant, and the Narcotics Unit and SWAT team searched the house on Thursday, July 30, JSO said.
The search turned up 1,100 potentially lethal doses of fentanyl, weighing 2.2 grams; 36.2 grams of powder cocaine; and 135.3 grams of marijuana, according to JSO.
Investigators also recovered 11 firearms — six handguns and five rifles — along with more than $1,300 in cash.
Rogers was arrested on drug and weapons charges. He remains in the Duval County jail, JSO said.
