The Duval County School Board moved to fire one and suspend four other employees Tuesday night.

The board moved to fire a teacher’s assistant, Tiffany Bullard of Oak Hill Academy.

She’s accused of hitting a student with a Lysol can.

Bullard allegedly told that person, “ ‘Look, this boy done made himself bleed’.”

A report says another educator “heard the can hit his head at least 4 or 5 times.”

One teacher suspended by the School Board was a former Teacher of the Year nominee.

Asante Dean is listed as a science teacher at Westside High School.

He is accused of being negligent in the classroom earlier this year.

A disciplinary report said he was conducting a science experiment using alcohol when “a student’s shirt was ignited.”

The 11th grader reportedly “suffered serious burns and was transported to the hospital.”
