Jacksonville Symphony announces season schedule; releases new website design

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Symphony made several announcements on Wednesday.

In addition to the release of its 2016-2017 show schedule, Jax Symphony said it's expanding both their masterworks and pops series to 12 concerts each.

New this season, subscribers will be able to create their own season ticket packages for a reduced price and announce Thursday night performances, new this year.

“We hope that programs like that are going to increase the number of people who come to our concerts,” said Courtney Lewis, music director. Not just the number, but also the kinds of people. We want younger people to enjoy the symphony. We want a more diverse range of people to be able to come and enjoy music here at Jacoby Hall.”

The symphony also has a new logo and website, JaxSymphony.org.
