A Jacksonville woman is accused of killing a woman 32 years after she admitted to killing her 3-week-old daughter.
Theresa Thomas, 53, was facing aggravated battery charges after she stabbed a woman in Jacksonville on June 25.
Police say Thomas admitted to stabbing 43-year-old Bonnie Hollis and directed police to the knife she used.
Hollis was paralyzed after the attack.
Thomas' charges were upgraded to murder after Hollis died from her injuries on Aug. 10.
Thomas was released from prison in 1999 after serving nearly 15 years for the death of her newborn daughter.
According to her 1985 arrest report, Thomas admitted to hitting and choking her daughter to death at a home on E. 7th Street.
She initially told officers that someone broke into her house and hurt her baby while she was in the shower.
She later gave a written statement admitting she killed her.
