JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars have elevated QB Nick Mullens to the active roster from the practice squad for tomorrow’s game, the team announced Saturday.
The announcement comes a day before the Jaguars face the Browns in Jacksonville in the opening game of the 2026 regular season.
Mullens, 31, spent the 2025 season with Jacksonville and appeared in five games where he completed three-of-three passes for 19 yards and a pair of first downs.
The Jaguars acquired quarterback Quinn Ewers on August 29, via a trade with the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2028 sixth-round draft pick.
Ewers’ acquisition proceeded the Jaguars’ decision to not include Mullens on the 53-man roster for the 2026 season and later name the veteran player to the practice squad.
Mullens originally signed with San Francisco as an undrafted rookie in 2017 and has played in 34 career games (20 starts) with San Francisco (2017-20), Cleveland (2021), Minnesota (2022-24) and Jacksonville (2025).
