DENVER — Jacksonville QB Trevor Lawrence and Denver’s Box Nix traded a pair of long, scoring-setup passes in the second quarter.
Lawrence’s led to a Jaguars touchdown, and Jacksonville leads Denver at halftime, 10-3.

After Lawrence hit WR Parker Washington on a 32-yard pass to the Denver 1, Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten took a direct snap into the end zone to give the Jaguars the lead, 7-0.
Later in the quarter, Nix hit WR Jalen Waddle on a 49-yard pass to the Jaguars 1. The Jacksonville defense stiffened, however, and Denver settled for a 20-yard Wil Lutz field goal. Jacksonville later added a Cam Little FG to extend the lead going into the half at 10-3.
In the first quarter, Lawrence was harassed by the Denver defense, which sacked him once, before the first quarter of a hard-hitting contest with the Broncos ended, 0-0.
A penalty by Riley Moss negated a sack-fumble of Lawrence recovered by Denver in Jacksonville territory in that quarter.
The Jaguars (1-0) defeated the Cleveland Browns in their season-opener last weekend while the Broncos (0-1) fell to the Kansas City Chiefs.
