JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Travon Walker is supporting local schoolchildren following the team’s first victory of the season.
The effort included preparing 500 bags of food for regional schools and donating to Blessings in a Backpack through the Travon Walker Foundation.
The initiative targets the weekend nutrition gap that students face when school-provided meals are unavailable. The foundation’s effort combines direct food distribution with personal support for local youth.
Walker personally assisted in packing the 500 food bags designated for local students. In addition to assembling the items, Walker penned an encouraging message included in every bag.
Walker spoke to Action News Jax about his involvement, saying that giving back fills his own cup.
