JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — JaxParks is inviting community members and organizations to participate in volunteer opportunities across local parks in Jacksonville.
The city program offers options ranging from single-day service projects to extended park adoption commitments. Volunteers assist with park maintenance, environmental care, youth sports coaching and community center instruction.
Group service projects are available for local businesses, schools, churches, scouts and other organized groups. These single-day events include planting trees, trail maintenance, shoreline clean-ups and other general park improvements.

The Adopt a Park program provides an option for longer-term involvement for individuals or organizations. The initiative features a renewable two-year adoption period and requires participants to conduct at least six cleanups per year at their selected park.
JaxParks also hosts opportunities for youth pursuing Eagle Scout and Gold Award service projects.
