JFRD does controlled burn of propane truck tank's contents after truck flips

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department on Friday afternoon had to burn off propane from a tanker trunk that wrecked in Northwest Jacksonville.

Police say the driver overcorrected while turning and flipped over on Old Kings Road near Thomas Road.

JFRD said none of the propane is leaking but burned what is left in the tank in a slow, controlled burn to be safe.

Both sides of the road will be shut down until that's complete.
