The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrested a suspected looter in Jacksonville as Hurricane Irma approached Jacksonville.
JSO reported that Chaseton Massingale was arrested Saturday on suspicion of armed burglary at the 7-Eleven at 123 Julia Street.
According to JSO, the suspect admitted to the incident and officers found an armed firearm in his backpack.
JSO received reports and descriptions of a suspicious person in the area, and witnesses said people were running out of the store with items.
