JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for the person who riddled a white BMW with bullets.
The shooting killed one man and hurt two others outside a McDonald's on the Westside. The murder is fueling fear in a neighborhood already on edge.
Wednesday's shooting happened just two miles from the Sunoco where a local father of five was shot and killed.
"I feel afraid for my life and anyone else's life," said one neighbor.
Fearing retaliation from talking to us, one neighbor would only speak if we concealed his identity. He lives very close to the McDonald's on Cassat Avenue and woke up to the sound of gunfire.
"A police officer came to my front door and asked if I seen anything and I said 'no I just heard the shots.' So he told me somebody had been killed and some other people been wounded," he said.

It wasn't the news he wanted to wake up to, especially since he says the community is still trying to recover from the shooting that happened on McDuff last week.
Troy Colton, a father of five, was killed while pumping air in his tires. All while his 2-year-old was sitting in the car.
"Something needs to be done in the city of Jacksonville," said the neighbor.
That happened less than two miles away and not a single person at the Sunoco gas station felt comfortable talking on camera about it Thursday.
Neighbors say all this violence has caused them to become more vigilant.
"Seems to me that this time of year, crime kinda picks up in this area, so just gotta be careful," said neighbor Markael Dodd.
With two shooters now on the run, neighbors still have faith in JSO that they'll be caught.
