Man found dead on Doeboy Street, Jacksonville police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was found dead in the roadway of Doeboy Street on Friday morning.

WHAT WE KNOW:

Police responded to the 5600 block of Doeboy Street in Moncrief area at 6 a.m. in reference to a person found unresponsive in the road
Officers arrived and found the man deceased with "unknown injuries"
Police say gunfire was heard in same area around midnight but are unable to determine if the two incidents are related
