JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigators are looking into a crash involving one of their own officers.

The crash happened on Edgewood Drive and Commonwealth Avenue just before 3 p.m.

A witness says a black SUV hit a patrol car, and then a white car.

The SUV reportedly caught on fire.

That witness then jumped into action.

“Get  them out of the vehicle. That's the first thing that clicked in my mind. You've got to get out of this car if it's smoking. We don't know what's going to happen. And I just pulled her to the side and waited for rescue,” said Stephanie Jones, a witness.

JSO crash investigators are still working to figure out who was at fault for the crash.
