JSO: Missing Duval County children found

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE: JSO announced that they both boys were found and are being returned to their families.

UPDATE: A Missing Child Alert has been activated for both boys


Initial Story:

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is in the midst of a search for two missing children, ages 10 and 11 years of age.

Early this morning, officers responded to the area of Detroit Street and West Ninth Street in reference to two missing juveniles. The children were last seen together in the 1700 block of Detroit Street on foot. Due to the circumstances involved and the tender ages of the children, JSO is asking for assistance in locating them to ascertain their safety.

The children have been identified as:

Name: Braylon Marcus Summerlin

Age: 10

Race/Sex: Black/Male

Height/Weight: 4′3″/110 Ibs.

Eyes/Hair: Brown/Black

Clothing: Wearing all black clothing.


Name: J’Quan Tyrell Grant

Age: 11

Race/Sex: Black/Male

Height/Weight: 5′2″/130 Ibs.

Eyes/Hair: Brown/Black

Clothing: Teal jacket, Black jeans and Red shoes.
