JSO: Young murder suspect arrested for burglary at age 11

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Sharron Sherman Townsend is now 12 years old and one of the city's youngest murder suspects in history.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrested Sharron, when he was only 11, as one of several suspects in a burglary at R.L. Brown Elementary school last September.

The burglars sneaked in through an open window and swiped three Apple Macbook laptop computers.

Police also said the burglars stole a can of air freshener and a box of tissue paper.

The young suspects told police they gave the computers to a man named "Pop" to sell.

Sharron is now being held for the killing of 54-year-old Thomas Trent.  Trent was homeless.
