KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. — A group of JROTC cadets at Keystone Heights High School have earned a spot in a state-wide competition after a first place win at a recent qualifier meeting held at Camp Blanding.
The Keystone Heights Indian Battalion Cadets beat five schools in the mixed male category earlier this month.
The first place win earned them a trophy and the opportunity to represent the district at the Florida State Raiders Competition in January.
Curry and former leader Col. Weir dedicated countless hours to the creation of the program, which is unfunded.

Volunteers, such as Corp. Campbell, and contributions of time and supplies from the community have allowed the group opportunities to practice for and participate in JROTC Raiders events.
The state competition will take place in Lake Wales, Florida at the Flaming Arrow Boy Scout Camp on Jan. 23.
