Lane of Nassau Sound Bridge at Amelia Island to close for four days beginning Monday

Expect delays at workers perform bridge maintenance through Thursday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Routine bridge maintenance will require a single lane of the Nassau Sound Bridge to be closed during the day Monday through Thursday, the Florida Department of Transportation said.

A single lane closure and flagging operation is planned in the northbound lane of State Road A1A on Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A single lane closure and flagging operation is planned in the southbound lane of State Road A1A on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Drivers are encouraged to use additional caution and plan extra time to reach their destinations.

The bridge connects the southern tip of Amelia Island to Big Talbot Island.
