Action News Jax is learning more about the investigation into a college student and former daycare worker arrested for child porn.
Neal Buckles, 19, was arrested Thursday on two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of transmission of child pornography.
He is a University of North Florida student and former child care employee at The Church of Eleven22.
Deputies learned he emailed photos of young boys engaged in sexual activity after a tip from Google.
Buckle’s arrest report said the investigation began in August with after Google told deputies that someone uploaded child porn to a Gmail address containing the phrase “long-island-buckles.”
The report said investigators found a secondary Gmail address tied to that account and traced the IP address to Buckles' Facebook page and his parent's home in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Action News Jax law and safety expert and former FBI agent Dale Carson said computer algorithms help investigators in the fight against child pornography.
“It will follow those photos, have access to them or store them. That algorithm is likely to find it in your hardware or in your software,” Carson said.
More charges are possible after Buckles said during police he sexually exploited a 4-year-old.
Deputies have reportedly identified the child they believe to be the victim and said that the child is not a member of church or daycare where Buckles worked.
St. Johns County school officials said they plan to visit a bus stop near Buckle's Ponte Vedra Beach home to make sure it is safe.
