Local teen works to find cure for cancer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A high school senior at Episcopal School of Jacksonville is working to find a cure for cancer.

The student, 18-year-old Alice Choi, has spent nearly 100 hours working in the Mayo Clinic where she is researching the early detection of kidney cancer. She is focusing her investigation on identifying cancers cells in kidney cancer.

Choi is a Judy Nicholson Kidney Cancer Foundation grant recipient.
