On man said, “At 5 A.M. for the past 2 weeks the light has not worked,” he continued, “it’s a major intersection, multiple vehicles and it’s only a matter of time until someone gets in a wreck.”

He also said he reported the problem to JSO 9 times but nothing has been done.

The driver explained, “Talked to countless operators, countless sergeants.”

The City of Jacksonville’s Twitter account responded to a tweet about the issue saying: ‘Thanks for alerting us. Our Traffic Engineering Division is aware of the issue and is working to address.’

Families tell me they’d like to see officers directing traffic at the intersection until the issue is resolved.

Action News Jax reached out to the City of Jacksonville about the traffic lights but has not yet received a response.
