ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — William Walter Frick was arrested Sunday after being charged with child molestation following an incident at Coast Guard Beach on St. Simons Island, according to the Glynn County Police Department.
Police said officers were conducting beach patrol operations when someone approached an officer regarding suspicious activity involving a man and a child. Two children, ages 8 and 9, reported that an adult male had exposed himself to them while on the beach.
Officers located Frick as he was leaving the beach area and took him into custody.
Detectives with the Police Department continued the investigation, which included conducting forensic interviews with both children. As a result, Frick was charged with two counts of child molestation.
Police said the investigation into the incident remains active and additional charges may be filed.
The Glynn County Police Department is asking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity involving Frick at Coast Guard Beach on Sunday, or who has information related to the case, to contact them at (912) 554-3645.
